Global brand. Short deadline.

Sounds like an explosive mix, or at least a challenge.

And while probably most would think that with a short deadline it’s worth making things easier, we took an ambitious approach. And so we created a spot for Nivea Ivisible Black&White for agency GoldenSubmarine. The brief for the ongoing production for the commercial spot, or rather Tag-On, depicted the main heroine of the campaign Maja Sablewska in 3 scenes. The ambassador speaks directly to the camera introducing the theme of the campaign.

Our task was to creatively present the main character’s styling changes. The challenge was that Maja had to turn to the camera, and the agency assumed that we were presenting her all the time in the middle set. Hence our idea of morphing was born. To avoid the impression of an ordinary change of styling in our spot, the clothes overlapped – they changed and intertwined. Giving the impression as if one was turning into another.

In addition, the background of our spot was a green screen, which we changed to Nivea Invisible’s characteristic black and white theme. So keying was also an important aspect at the post-production stage.

To sum up, at the post-production stage of this project we imposed quite a few challenges on ourselves, but we invariably enjoy such challenges.
